Lynn Lewis of Raymondville was named Texas County Memorial Hospital’s January employee of the month.
Martha Kirkman, TCMH Home Health of the Ozarks nurse manager, nominated Lewis, an administrative assistant for the department, for the award. An employee of TCMH for more than four years, Lewis is known for her pleasant and courteous demeanor with co-workers, patients and other customers.
“Lynn is always cheerful, and she takes the time to greet each Home Health employee every morning,” Kirkman said. “She is also a very hard worker, handling her many responsibilities without wasting time.”
Kirkman noted that Lewis recently assumed the workload of another employee that was out of work for several weeks.
“Lynn took the additional work in stride and never complained,” Kirkman said.
As employee of the month, Lewis received a certificate honoring her achievement; a pin; $100 cash; a special parking place in the TCMH lot; one day of paid vacation; a membership in the TCMH Fitness Center; a $50 gift card; a gift certificate to D&L Florist and CD of the month from KUNQ.
A reception is planned at the hospital in honor of Lewis, who is eligible for the 2009 TCMH employee of the year award.
