A Salem woman was killed Friday afternoon when her vehicle crossed the centerline east of Licking and struck the rear tires of a tractor-trailer unit, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.
Dead is Tracy L. Pachmayr, 39, who was pronounced dead at the scene by Texas County Coroner Tom Whittaker. The driver of the westbound rig, Michael L. Lingle, 59, was not injured. The mishap occurred about eight miles east of Licking on Highway 32.
Pachmayr’s body was taken to a Salem funeral home.
Five highway patrolmen were called to the scene. The victim’s 2001 Ford Mustang was totaled, they said.
