Texas County’s unemployment rate inched upward in December, reports the Missouri Department of Economic Development.
The figure was 7.7 percent, which is an increase of three-tenths of a percentage point from the previous month.
Other counties and their jobless rates: Douglas, 8.0; Howell, 6.7; Shannon, 10.2; and Wright, 8.6. The average in south-central Missouri was 7.6 percent.
