American Family Insurance, agent Shannon Motzkus, is hosting a coed softball tournament Saturday, April 25, at the Houston High School baseball field. The event will raise money for the Houston Tiger Booster Club’s annual high school sports banquet.

The entry fee for the double-elimination tournament is $20 per player. Initial team rosters and the entry fee must be mailed by Friday, April 10. A final roster must be turned in before the team’s first game the day of the tournament. T-shirts are included in the fee for players who sign up by April 10.

A homerun derby will also be held at 2 p.m. with a fee of $5 for five pitches. Players will be allowed to hit multiple times.

Tournament play will begin at 8 a.m. Teams will be randomly placed in the bracket, but times will be adjusted to allow teams traveling the furthest to play later in the morning. Each coach will be contacted with his/her team’s first game time.

Players must be at least 15 years old, and each team must consist of at least four females. Teams are required to provide four new 375 lbs, .44 cor ASA balls.
