A demolition derby is planned for Saturday evening at the Houston Area Chamber of Commerce fairgrounds on North U.S. 63.
The event, sponsored by the chamber, begins at 7 p.m. A powder puff event follows the car competition. A purse of up to $2,000 is planned.
The cost is $10 for adults, $5 for children and pit passes are $15.
