Imogene Reed

Imogene (Randolph) Reed, daughter of Golden and Iva (Mathis) Randolph, was born in Houston, Mo., on March 4, 1929. She passed away April 11, 2009, at Texas County Memorial Hospital, Houston, Mo.

Imogene was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Quoy; oldest son, Michael; one sister, Shirley; and one grandson, Jamie.

She is survived by one son, Ron of Houston; one brother, Bill Randolph of Perryville, Mo.; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Imogene grew up in the Houston area and was in the class of 1948. She married her childhood sweetheart, Quoy Reed, in October 1950 and to this union two sons were born.

Imogene was a member of Central Baptist Church of Houston, Mo. She received Christ as her Savior in her teens and remained faithful throughout the years to His service.

Imogene was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was always looking for ways to help her family and friends and felt that God had given her each day to enjoy and live for Him. She will be missed, but we know that she is enjoying the beauty of Heaven and is rejoicing in the presence of the One she has so long desired to meet, while at the same time renewing old friendships that was made while here on earth.

Services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 15, 2009, at Ozark Baptist Church with the Rev. Kendall Ford officiating. Music selections by Shekinah Glory were: I Know Who Holds Tomorrow, If We Never Meet Again and Precious Memories. Pallbearers were: Harold Wenger, Tony Floyd, Tim Stow, Robert Stringer, Jack Warkentin and Jake Thompson. Burial was in Pine Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
