A 9-year-old Bucyrus girl was injured Tuesday morning when a deer was struck by a vehicle on Highway 32 about two miles east of Success.
Vanessa M. Akers was a passenger in 1998 Mitsubishi driven by Patricia Akers, 31, said Tpr. Terry Nelson.
The girl was taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston by private vehicle with minor injuries.
Nelson said the vehicle sustained extensive damage.
