The Texas County Animal Shelter will attend Farm Fest on May 8 and 9.
Members will have puppies for adoption and hold a raffle for $65 in dog supplies. A duck pond for children to win prizes also is planned. T-shirts will be available.
The following week, the group will host its annual weiner dog race May 16. The event is in conjunction with Spring Fest planned by the chamber at its fairgrounds on North U.S. 63. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. The races starts at 1 p.m.
