Patricia Ann “Holloway” Edwards was born in St. Louis, Mo., on Oct. 6, 1931, to Elmer Holloway and Olive “Parr” Holloway. She went to meet Jesus on Sunday, May 10, 2009, after a battle with congestive heart failure and diabetes.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents; one infant daughter, Beatrice Jean Edwards; two sons, Perry Edwards and Bruce Edwards; a sister, Shirley Hardy; two brothers, Elmer “Bud” Holloway and Dale Holloway; two infant grandsons, Allen Moncrief and Kyle Edwards; and one granddaughter, Brieanna Edwards.
Pat married Harrison “Pug” Edwards in St. Louis, Mo., on June 12, 1948, and to this union eight children were born.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years and her children, Paul Edwards and wife Rose Anna of Elsberry, Mo., Leann Greer and husband Bob of Licking, Mo., Nona Smith and husband Lee of Riverton, Wyo., Mark Edwards and wife Karen of Troy, Mo., and Bryan Edwards and wife Billie Jo of St. Charles, Mo.; 14 grandchildren, Travis Edwards, Michelle Griffin and husband Jeff, Shawn Edwards and wife Heidi, Butch Edwards and wife Donielle, Patrick Edwards and fianc/e Tara, Kelly Hackman and husband Eric, Carolyn Moncrief, Mauri Smith and fianc/e Garrison, Amanda Daniels and husband Bed, Jamie Morrow and wife Lina, Shelli Vitale and husband Tony, Dalton Edwards, Jazzmyn Edwards and Jordyn Edwards; 18 great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
Pat was baptized and confirmed at an early age and was a faithful member of Salem Lutheran Church. She was active in her community as a chamber member, business owner and longtime member of the Texas County Republican Party.
Pat enjoyed traveling, making quilts for her children and grandchildren, watching movies and spending time with her family. She was a loving and giving wife, mother, mother-in-law and grandmother.
Final arrangements were handled by Fox Funeral Home, Licking. Both the visitation on Wednesday evening and the 11 a.m. service Thursday will be at Salem Lutheran Church. Pastor David Ketner will conduct the service, and a meal for the family will be provided by the Ladies Aid of Salem Lutheran Church.
Pall bearers are Travis Edwards, Shawn Edwards, Butch Edwards, Patrick Edwards, Greg Green and Jamie Morrow. Interment of her earthly body will be at Boone Creek Cemetery in Licking, Mo.
