A Plato man received moderate injuries in a crash Wednesday morning in Pulaski County on Highway 17 near Interstate 44, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.
Troopers said Virgil Jefferies, 31, was injured when a 1993 Ford driven by Leslie Gillispie, 51, pulled out in front of his 2005 Chevrolet.
Jefferies was taken to a Fort Leonard Wood hospital. Gillispie, whose injuries were serious, was transported to St. John’s in Lebanon. Both drivers were wearing seat belts, the patrol said.
