A Lincoln, Ill., woman was injured Monday night when her vehicle struck a deer north of Licking.
Sgt. Jeff Kinder of the Missouri State Highway Patrol said Jean A. Hutchinson, 55, struck the animal about five miles north of Licking on U.S. 63 and lost control of the vehicle, which overturned and came to rest at the bottom of a steep embankment.
Hutchison sustained minor injuries and was taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital. She was wearing a seat belt, he said. The vehicle was totaled.
