Senior David Foster was one of seven Tigers named to the all-SCA baseball team Tuesday night. He was a second-team selection in the outfield.
Kyle Poynter, David Weybright and Chris Mooney were named to the first team. Foster and Caleb Smith received second-team honors, and Kaleb Poynter and Eli Smith were given honorable mention.
Kyle Poynter was named a first-team pitcher after going 6-1 with a 1.04 ERA for the Tigers. He struck out 58 batters and walked 15 in 47 innings.
Weybright, a center fielder, recovered from a slow start to bat .385 while leading Houston in runs (18), doubles (6) and steals (12).
Mooney batted .320 in the No. 2 hole and ranked second in runs (19) and third in hits (24).
