Lanorrah Jane Fisher Powell, 64, died Saturday, June 20, 2009, at her home in Success.
She was born April 9, 1945, in Oswego, Kan., daughter of Frank Fisher and Ellen Richardson. She and Charles Robert Powell were married June 22, 1963.
She spent many years working at Brown Shoe until her health would no longer allow. She enjoyed spending time in nature with the wildlife. She loved watching deer, squirrels, birds and other animals eating and playing. She also liked to fish.
She enjoyed yard sales, spending time with her family and listening to and calling Big Country 99 radio station.
She was preceded in death by her father; a husband, Charles Robert Powell; a sister, Elsie Purshell; and a brother, Gerald Elmore.
Survivors include her mother, Ellen Lancaster of Rolla; two daughters, Delores Rucker of Success and Diane Johnson of Kenosha, Wis; a son, Bobby Powell of Bonne Terre; a grandson; two sisters, Norma Kelley of Salem and Barbara Eckert of Rolla; a brother, Tom Elmore of Rolla; and numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
Memorial services are 3 p.m. Saturday, June 27, at Success Baptist Church with Ted Moore officiating. Cremation is under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
