Houston police are investigating a case of parental kidnapping by a local woman.

Mareyea M. Switzer, 18, of 319 N. Grand Ave., left with a 1-year-old daughter without telling the child’s father, police said.

According to a police report, a chaplain at Camp Pendleton, Calif., reported to police that Switzer told him that she had made arrangements with the child’s father to take the tot so that she could marry a Marine.
