The Community Blood Center of the Ozarks will hold a blood drive from 1:30 until 4:30 p.m. Thursday, July 30, at First Baptist Church in Summersville.
CBCO has issued a code yellow alert for Type O Negative. There is less than a two-day supply on hospital shelves. It takes around 275 donations per day to meet the needs of 36 area hospitals that use CBCO products.
Eligibility requirements include weighing at least 110 pounds, being in general good health and a present ID.
