A Licking man is among the 29 recruits set to graduate from the 89th class of the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Tyler Mobley and his fellow recruits will be honored during ceremonies Friday on the south lawn of the Missouri capitol. The graduates completed 25 weeks of training at the patrol’s Law Enforcement Academy in Jefferson City.
Mobley has been assigned to Clark and Scotland counties in Troop B. He reports for active duty July 27.
Gov. Jay Nixon will address the class at its graduation ceremonies. The Honorable Laura Denvir Stith of the Missouri Supreme Court will administer the oath of office to the new troopers.
Also graduating in the 89th class is Terry McElyea of Willow Springs. He will be assigned to St. Charles County in Troop C.
Troop G did not receive any assignments.
