Drury University continued providing students and instructors with the latest technological advancements by adding SMART boards to three classrooms at its Cabool campus.

SMART boards provide the instructor with an interactive whiteboard that has many applications and uses in the classroom. This latest technological addition is an important facet of education at the Cabool campus, and it too, has been made possible by the generosity of local donors and supporters. Plans are under way to outfit three remaining classrooms with overhead projectors at a later date, Drury officials said.

Since opening its new facility in the fall of 2007, Drury in Cabool has been actively adding to its resources and equipment. In addition to a computer lab and free-access student computer stations, overhead projectors have been installed in several rooms. This equipment helps to facilitate and enhance the learning process at the Cabool campus and is made possible by the donations and the support of the surrounding community, officials said.

Registration for the fall semester, which begins Monday, Aug. 31, at the Cabool campus, is under way. Financial assistance is available to those who meet qualification requirements. Persons who have questions or would like more information, can call 417-962-5314, or e-mail chicks@drury.edu.
