A Houston woman is charged with stealing syringes from a Houston business.
Police charged Megan L. Neal, 26, of 777 W. Highway 17, Apt. 20, with shoplifting at Forbes’ Pharmacy on July 6.
According to a report, Neal is accused of taking a 100-count box of syringes. Neal told officers she had had sold them to two Summersville women for $40.
In other matters, police:
-Heard from Lisa Scott that someone had stolen her cellular telephone from a vehicle parked at 721 Dooley on July 8. The phone’s value is $220. The next day officers found the telephone on the parking lot of Bullseye. The only portion not recovered was the phone cover, police said.
-Transported a 28-year-old man last week to TCMH after a report that he was considering harming himself. Two knives also were seized.
-Charged William B. Bounds, 41, of Elk Creek, with the assault of a 30-year-old Bucyrus man on Dooley Street on July 6.
-Assisted following an accident Saturday at Tires and More when a tractor tire exploded near Tom Hartman. He sustained a broken arm and several cuts on his head and body, and he was transported by St. John’s helicopter.
-Arrested an illegal immigrant at a residence on Florence Street on Friday. The man, Adan Alarcon, 33, had a Mexico identification card. He was detained upon the request of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Service.
