A City of Houston employee recent received training through the Association of Missouri Electric Cooperatives.
Scott McKinney attended “Transformer School” at the AMEC Training Center from July 21-23 in Jefferson City. Instructors taught attendees about basic electricity, transformer theory, single phase and three-phase connections, current calculations and fusing, over voltage protection and transformer troubleshooting.
AMEC is the service organization for the state’s 47 electric cooperatives, which serve more than 600,000 rural Missourians.
