Positronic Industries will close its Cabool manufacturing plant Oct. 30, putting 36 people out of work. Due to poor economic conditions, production of the Cabool plant is being consolidated with the three remaining southwest Missouri plants, the firm announced this afternoon.
“The company appreciates the dedication and contribution of the Cabool employees since the plant’s opening in 2000. Positronic officials are working closely with state and local agencies to assist the 36 employees impacted by this closing,” according to a statement from the firm.
Positronic Industries Inc. is a multinational manufacturer of high performance connectors with global headquarters in Springfield. Positronic Industries employs 464 workers at its Missouri locations, comprising the largest segment of its global workforce.
