Houston graduate Dustin Blackburn completed his first fall season with the Missouri State University-West Plains golf team by shooting a two-day 172 in the Shawnee Community College Invitational Tournament in Cape Girardeau.

The Grizzlies finished sixth out of seven teams. Freshman J.W. Blevins led the Grizzlies with a 164. He was followed by Taylor Vanzandt, Cassville, with 165 and Blackburn.

“Dustin improved tremendously in the last three or four outing,” Grizzly coach Phil Wade said. “We’re looking forward to seeing what he will do in the spring.”
