Houston volleyball senior Amber Honig was named second team all-region and first all-district last week.
Honig was joined on the all-district first team by junior Erica Keeney. Sarah Pierce was named to the second team.
Honig led the Lady Tigers with 231 kills and was second with 73 blocks.
“Amber is very deserving of these honors,” Houston coach Debbie James said. “She stepped it up this year and played like a senior should. She was also much more aggressive this year than last on offense. “
Keeney led the Lady Tigers with 79 blocks and was second in kills (196) and aces (33).
Pierce led Houston with 309 assists and 34 aces. She also had 143 kills and 41 blocks.
