Terry Franklin Black, 49, died Saturday, Nov. 14, 2009.

He was born Oct. 22, 1960, in Houston, son of George Edward and Dorothy Mae Roberts Black. He and Chris Mansfield were married May 1, 1993, at Cedar Hill Church near Edgar Springs.

He enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, hunting and boating, and mechanics.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Wanda Roberts.

Survivors include his wife, Chris of the home; four children, Chad Black of Salem, Jared Black of Edgar Springs, Jennifer “Jenny” Horstman of O’Fallon and Kristen Vossenkemper of Flat; a grandson; a brother, Eddie Black of Edgar Springs; a sister, Carolyn Hobson of House Springs; and many other relatives and friends.

Services were Tuesday, Nov. 17, at Fox Funeral Home Chapel with Don Harris officiating. Burial was in Concord Cemetery.
