Brette Osclee Nicholle DeWitt, 27, died Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2009, at Texas County Memorial Hospital.

She was born Oct. 11, 1982, at Phelps County Regional Hospital, daughter of Gene and Carole Southworth DeWitt.

She attended grade school at Raymondville and graduated in 1998. She graduated from Houston High School in 2001.

She loved Reba McEntire, the St. Louis Cardinals, NASCAR and The Dukes of Hazard. She enjoyed singing with her father.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Iva Southworth; and grandfathers, Artie Ray and Dewey Southworth.

Survivors include her parents; a sister, Bridgritte of O’Fallon; a grandmother, Violet Ray; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and her family at the Barn and the Wildwood Church.

Services were Friday, Nov. 27, at Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Wesley Wallace officiating. Burial was in Pine Lawn Cemetery.
