Alissa Bowling scored nine points and Ty Bisker added eight to lead the Houston eighth grade girls’ 38-13 romp Thursday night of Cabool.

The Lady Tigers (4-1) led 25-0 at the half.

“Our fullcourt pressure really hurt them early, and we have really improved our man defense in the halfcourt,” Lady Tigers coach John Jordan said. “I thought we moved the ball well against their zone defense. We had eight girls score so we know we can score points when we move the ball, our bodies, and look to be aggressive offensively.”

Kylee Elmore scored eight points for the seventh grade girls, who lost to Cabool 28-20.

Haylee Walker scored six points and Karissa Zalucky had four for Houston (0-5), which outscored Cabool 15-9 in the second half after trailing by 14.

“Again we started out slowly,” Jordan said. ” I wish I would have fullcourt pressed earlier and played man-to-man defense earlier. It seemed to hurt them in the second half. We proved we could do so it is something we can build on the next few

games.”
