Peggy Ann Connolly Willis, 65, died Saturday, Nov. 28, 2009.
She was born Oct. 3, 1944, daughter of Frank E. and Orba Gertrude Cloninger Connolly. She and Jerry L. Willis were married Oct. 27, 1963, at First Baptist Church of Houston.
She grew up on a family farm near Raymondville and attended Raymondville Elementary School. She graduated in 1962 as valedictorian at Houston High School.
She was active in many community and church activities. She was a longtime member of The Genuine Chevy/GMC Truck Club of KC alongside her husband. She loved family, friends, flowers, animals, music, putting together picture albums and helping others.
She accepted Jesus Christ into her heart many years ago.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Nell Reece.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry of the home; two children, Randy Willis of Blue Springs and Teresa Burcham of Independence; three grandchildren; seven sisters, Naomi Campbell of Bucyrus, Zola Kinworthy of St. Peters, Dixie Krasky of Minneapolis, Minn., Frances Pitts of Springfield, Rebecca Wheatley of Athens, Ala., Dorothy Connolly of Houston and Paula Mills of Montgomery City; two brothers, Larry Connolly of Prineville, Ore., and Clinton Connolly of Raymondville; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services were Wednesday, Dec. 2, at Susquehanna Baptist Church in Independence.
