Bertha Alleen Wallis Clouse, 84, died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009.
She was born March 22, 1925, in Dent County, daughter of Omer Jordan and Iva Elizabeth Trout Walls. She and Gern Joe Clouse were married Sept. 22, 1942. He died Oct. 24, 2007.
She attended Upper Bean Creek School in Dent County for five years. Following her mother’s death, she and a younger sister moved to Licking to live with their maternal grandmother. She attended Licking Schools and graduated in 1942.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Survivors include two children, Carol Clouse Hickle and Larry Clouse; two grandsons; and a sister, Colleen Wallis Agee of Houston.
Services were Monday, Jan. 4, at Greenlawn Funeral Home Chapel in Springfield. Burial was alongside her husband in Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
