Two Cabool residents face charges after allegedly taking a child from a home Dec. 26 in Howell County, authorities said.

Jerry A. Farmer, 60, is charged with first-degree burglary, a felony, and Jill C. Shaw, 30, was arrested on first-degree burglary and parental kidnapping charges. Shaw is Farmer’s daughter.

Authorities allege the pair forced their way into the home of the child’s father and removed the youth. They were later arrested at the El Rancho Truck Stop south of Cabool. The child was returned to its father.

Both are free on bond.
