Houston senior Sean Conway received the ultimate honor away from the football field last week when he was named to the Class 2 academic all-state team.
Conway, a starter at defensive end who also earned a handful of starts on the offensive line toward the end of the season, moved back to Houston for his senior season after one year at Mountain Grove.
“To be honored as an academic all-state player is a great accomplishment for Sean,” Houston coach Chris Edwards said. “All the players are student-athletes. The student comes first. Sean is a great example of how you can be both a quality athlete and have a tremendous amount of academic success.”
