Filings continue for school boards, city and water panels – as well as other elective posts – across Texas County.
The declaration of candidacies continues until 5 p.m. Jan. 19.
Patrons will fill positions on school district boards, city-elected jobs and representatives on water district political subdivisions.
In the City of Houston, voters will decide three council ward positions. All three incumbents on the council, Joe Honeycutt, Joyce Campbell and Don Romines, are seeking re-election.
At the Houston School District, board members Doug Castleman and Sharon Rees have filed.
County-wide a TCMH trustee’s slot will be decided. Filing for a five-year term is Janet Wiseman.
