The Community Blood Center of the Ozarks will hold a blood drive from 9:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 22, at Summersville High School.
CBCO has issued a code green alert for current blood reserves. Current blood inventories include at least a three-day supply for most blood types. Although levels are adequate, it takes around 275 donations per day to meet the needs of the 36 area hospitals that use CBCO products.
Eligibility requirements include weighing at least 110 pounds, being in general good health and a present ID.
