This year’s Houston High School seniors will graduate May 22, the board of education decided Monday during a meeting.
The 4 p.m. ceremony is at Tiger Stadium.
The board also received a 2010-2011 school calendar. A public hearing to discuss it is 6 p.m. Monday, March 8.
Members also created a half-time health/physical education position for Houston Middle School. The addition will allow the district to address needs for providing sufficient PE time, as well as easing some scheduling difficulties, said Dr. Dan Vandiver, superintendent.
Evaluations were heard and approved for the At Risk/Gifted, Health Services and A+ programs.
The board’s next meeting is at 6:10p.m. Monday, March 8, in the superintendent’s office.
