Jewel Dean Wilson, 73, died Wednesday, March 17, 2010, at his home in Licking.
He was born Feb. 28, 1937, son of Glen Leo and Lucy Jane Curtis Wilson.
He was a faithful Christian and worked for the Lord in many ways, including teaching and sharing the Word.
He loved the outdoors. He was an avid hunter, fisherman, carpenter, bow maker, beekeeper, gardener and taxidermist. He enjoyed teaching others his hobbies and making friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Archie Glen and Ishmael Osby Wilson.
Survivors include his wife, Carolyn of the home; two daughters, Rebecca Harris of Licking and Evelyn Evy Ewing of Columbia; a granddaughter; a sister, Lois Kirkman of Belle; two brothers, Buddy Leo of Rolla and Dors Wilson of Lebanon; and a host of other relatives, friends and loved ones.
Graveside services were Friday, March 19, in Shafer Cemetery with Larry Tubbs officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Fox Funeral Home.
