Betty Louise Goodman, 62, died April 25, 2010, at her Republic home.
The daughter of Ted and Bertha Smith McKinney, she was born Feb. 19, 1948, at Tyrone.
She was raised at Tyrone and graduated with the Summersville High School class of 1965. She later earned a degree at Drury University in 1998. She worked as a social worker with the Missouri Division of Aging.
An avid reader, she loved to watch sporting events, keeping up with the Missouri college teams. She especially loved the Mizzou Tigers.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Jackie and Kenneth McKinney.
She is survived by her husband, Paul “Bud” Goodman of the home; sons, Michael of Caraway, Ark.; Paul Jr., Ozark; Patrick, Republic; daughters, Paula Gift, St. Charles; and Melinda, Seymour; and a step-daughter, Audrey Collins, Willow Springs. Two brothers, Walter McKinney, Houston; and Keith McKinney, St. Louis; five sisters, Carol Terrill of Texas; Jewell McKinney, St. Ann; Dorothy Henry, St. Louis; Wilma, Iowa; and Gladys Garrett, Success; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many relatives and friends.
Services for Mrs. Goodman are 2 p.m. Thursday, April 29, at Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Don Carter officiating. Burial is in Ozark Cemetery.
