Cabool teenagers were involved in accident early Saturday morning that sent a 16-year-old boy to Texas County Memorial Hospital.
Cpl. George Falterman said the Highway M wreck occurred when a vehicle driven by Cory D. Sanders was attempting to a pass another vehicle on a hill operated by Travis A. Smith, 16. Sanders’ 2000 Dodge Dakota went out of control, ran off the roadway and overturned, ejecting him.
The mishap occurred at 4:20 a.m. just north of Cabool.
Sanders, who was not wearing a seat belt, was taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital by ambulance. His truck was totaled, Falterman said.
Smith, who was not injured, was wearing a seat belt, the patrolman said.
