Floyd James Williams, 82, died Saturday, Feb. 27, 2010, in Long Beach, Calif.

He was born Sept. 28, 1927, in Texas County, son of Ancil and Lennie Williams. He and Roberta Kelsley were married in 1952. He later married Frances Johnson in 1986.

After graduating from Houston High School in 1945, he moved to California and worked one year in an oil field before joining the Army. He served three years before returning to the oil fields.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Roberta; a son, David; and a brother, Johnnie.

Survivors include his second wife, Fran; a sister, Frannie Atkinson; two daughters, Deborah Gotchal of Troutdale, Ore., and Lisa Williams of Long Beach, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Linda Williams of San Francisco, Calif.; four grandsons; a granddaughter; two nephews; a niece; and an aunt, Nora Harris of Licking.

Services were Sunday, March 7, at McKenzie Memorial Chapel in Long Beach, Calif. The body was cremated.
