Serious accident

Three persons were seriously injured Saturday night – including two from Licking when their Corvette ran off Highway 32 and struck a tree.

Tpr. Terry Nelson said Susan J. Prize, 55, of Falcon, was driving the car east when it failed to negotiate a curve and ran off the right side of the roadway before striking the tree.

The passengers, who were not wearing a seat belt, were thrown from the vehicle. Tina M. Floyd, 35, and Donna L. Sullins, 39, were flown to St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, as was Prize.

The Texas County Rescue Squad was called to the scene about six miles west of Licking on Highway 32.

Nelson said his investigation was continuing.
