Bertha Boster Wantland, 73, died Wednesday, April 28, 2010, following a short illness.

She was born May 17, 1936, daughter of Lewis and Abby Longbottom Boster

She grew up in the Grandview neighborhood and attended grade school there. She graduated from Houston High School in 1954 and married Jim Wantland. They moved to St. Louis and lived there the remainder of their lives.

She loved cardinals and the St. Louis Cardinals.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Jim.

Survivors include three daughters, Brenda Weber and twins Linda Pleimann and Glenda Abney; four grandchildren, and several cousins.

Services were Monday, May 3, at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in St. Louis. Burial was in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
