Bonnie Jean Lewis Benson, 72, died Sunday, May 9, 2010, at Texas County Memorial Hospital.
She was born July 20, 1937, in Kirksville, daughter of Dayton L. and Leota Lewis. She and Donald Benson were married Aug. 12, 1956, at the Church of Christ in Licking.
She was baptized in 1951 at the Church of Christ by her father and was a member of the church. She was devoted to her family and Sonshine & Rainbow Day School. She worked as a secretary at International Shoe in Salem, Licking Motor and Scott Material of Licking.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Lillian Stricklin, Mildred Reynolds, Lena Dawson and Vivian Cantrell; a brother, Edwin Lewis; and a special friend, Darrell Lewis.
Survivors include her husband, Donald; a daughter, Debbie of Licking; and a host of relatives and friends.
Services were Wednesday, May 12, at the Church of Christ in Licking with Larry Tubbs officiating. Burial was in Licking Cemetery under the direction of Fox Funeral Home.
