James “Jim” Dale Brashers, 59, died Wednesday, May 5, 2010.
He was born Sept. 24, 1950, in Gramby, son of Dale and Shirley Brashers.
He was raised in Summersville and graduated in 1968 from Summersville High School.
He buried telephone lines early in his career and was later a truck driver.
He loved living and working on the farm and spending time with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his mother, Shirley; his wife of 42 years, Judy Brashers; a brother, Gary Brashers of Fredericktown; four children, Jimmy Brashers and Wendy Wells of Summersville, Justin Brashers of Mountain View and Jessica Wolfe of Bucyrus; 14 grandchildren; and a host of other family members.
Services were Saturday, May 8, at Bradford Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. John Atchison officiating. A private burial will be held at a later date.
