Linda Barrett

Linda Sue Williams Barrett, 59, died Saturday, April 24, 2010, at Texas County Memorial Hospital.

She was born Dec. 11, 1950, in Joilet, Ill., daughter of James and Glessie Nelson Williams.

She grew up in Plato until the age of 16, when she moved to St. Charles. She graduated from Fort Zumwalt South High School in O’Fallon in 1969.

She attended school to become a cosmetologist.

She enjoyed remodeling, working puzzles, playing the piano and studying the Bible.

She was a member of Church of God Faithful Flock of Modesto, Calif. Her greatest passion was serving the Lord and working on projects.

She was the co-founder of Angel’s Home, a non-profit organization for burn out victims.

She volunteered many hours of service with the organization. Her home was the first building used to begin collecting goods to be distributed to those need of help.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, W.H. Barrett; a brother, Melvin Williams; and a sister, Anna Price.

Survivors include a son, Thomas Baxter; a daughter, Billie Liber; and three grandchildren.

Graveside services were Friday, April 30, in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery with Pastor Ted Moore officiating. Services were under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
