A Mountain Grove man sustained injures Friday when his truck was struck by a Burlington Northern train at Dunn, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

Tpr. Logan Elliott said a northbound truck driven by Gerald A. Stillwell, 58, failed to yield at Stone Ridge Drive and was hit by the westbound train operated by Timothy W. Flowers, 60, of Springfield.

A medical helicopter and other emergency workers were called to the scene. Flowers had moderate injuries and is hospitalized in Cox South in Sprtingfield.

Elliott said the railroad crossing is marked with only a sign.

Earlier: Emergency personnel are responding to a report of a training striking a vehicle at a railroad crossing a Dunn.

 

The accident is at Stone Ridge Drive, authorities said.

A medical helicopter has been sent to the scene along Old Business 60.
