Houston officers handled a variety of calls during the last week.

A Houston woman is charged with assaulting her mother, Houston police said.

Officers cited Megan L. Neal, 27, of 302 Mill St., with third-degree assault of her mother. Officers said the mother told them she was struck in the head with a bag of frozen meat on May 28. Police said the mother, Tina Neal, had a small laceration above her right eye and a small contusion above the same eye.

In other matters, police:

-Are continuing to investigate an April 6 burglary at OK Tire in Houston. A suspect has been identified, police said.

-Charged Barbara A. Rhyner, 75, of 14 Hamrick Terrace, with failing to drive on the right half of the roadway (improper lane use) on May 28. She struck a Springfield television station vehicle in the rear driven by Takahisa Yokoyama, 39, of Springfield, police said.

-Charged Stephanie K. Krechel, 20, of 311 Skyview Terrace, with third-degree assault on May 29. Police said a 22-year-old man was assaulted.

-Cited Madge A. “Alanna” Anderson, 35, of 140 S. Oak Crest, with second-degree property damage on May 23. The victim, a 35-year-old man who lived at the residence, said his girlfriend had burned his clothes worth about $300.

-Cited Brandi L. Franklin, 29, of 605 Hawthorn, with allowing her animal to run at-large on May 27.

-Arrested Wesley L. Brackett, 31, of 605 Hawthorn, on a municipal warrant charging him with DWI/failure to appear. He was unable to post $303 in bond on May 28.

-Cited Andrew B. Lewis, 21, of Licking, with operating a motor vehicle while license was suspended on May 24.
