Dorothy “Diane” Duncan, 55, died Friday, June 25, 2010, in Ellington.
She was born Dec. 3, 1954, in St. Louis, daughter of Harvey and Norma Manes Sneed. She and Stan Duncan were married Aug. 31, 1979, in St. Louis.
She grew up in the Overland area and attended Ritenour School. She worked as head of housing for a motel chain in the Florida Keys and was an apartment manager for Spencer Arms while living in Torrance, Calif. She was later a housewife in the St. Louis and Ellington areas.
She enjoyed traveling and sightseeing with her husband. They visited many states and Mexico. She loved playing board games, boating, collecting angels and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors include her husband, Stan of the home; a son, Matthew Nyberg of St. Louis; a granddaughter; a brother, Leon Sneed of Florida; a sister, Linda Baker of O’Fallon; and many relatives and friends.
Services were Monday, June 28, at Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mort Thompson officiating. Burial was in Long Hollow Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the American Lung Association or the American Breast Cancer Foundation.
