Norene R. Elmore, 80, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2010, in Springfield, Mo. She was born May 13, 1930, to Dillard and Mary (Francis) Reaves in Bado, Mo.
She was united in marriage on May 31, 1954, to Windsor (Pete) Elmore in Houston, Mo., and to this union two children, Pam and Paula, were born.
Norene was a resident of Republic, Mo., and a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Republic, Mo. Prior to moving to Republic in 2006, she resided in Houston, Mo., and was a member of First Baptist Church. She was actively involved; especially in the youth department, which was her passion.
Norene was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Glen Reaves; and her husband, Pete.
She is survived by her children, Pam Whittaker and husband, John, of Republic, Mo., and Paula Parker and husband, Greg, of Springfield, Mo.; also surviving are grandchildren, Dustin Adams and wife, Tracy, of Kansas City, Mo.; Courtney Moore and husband, Jason, of Republic, Mo., and Tia Parker of Orlando, Fla.; great-grandchildren, Brayden Adams, Bishop and Eli Moore; her sister, Pauline Burch of Springfield, Mo.; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.
Norene was devoted to her God and to her family, and she will be sorely missed.

Services were 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 2, 2010, at First Baptist Church, Houston, Mo., Pastor Denny Marr and Dr. Howell Burkhead officiating.
Pallbearers were John Whittaker, Greg Parker, Dustin Adams, Jason Moore, Steve Burch and Bob Burch. Burial was in Pine Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
