Patrol: No fatalities over Memorial Day holiday
There were no fatal accidents in Troop G during the Memorial Day holiday, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Troopers participated in the 10-mile trooper project on U.S. 60. They were assigned to work 12-hour shifts.
Totals from the holiday weekend were:
–Three misdemeanor DWI arrests.
–183 speed summonses.
–Five careless and imprudent driving summonses.
–57 seat belt summonses.
–Three child restraint summonses.
–One stop sign summons.
–Four commercial vehicle summonses.
–Two other hazardous moving summonses.
–23 non-moving summonses.
–13 driver’s license summonses.
–10 uninsured motorists.
–One minor in possession.
–One felony warrant arrest.
–Eight misdemeanor drug arrests.
–Seven misdemeanor warrant arrests.
–Three other misdemeanor criminal arrests.
“I am very pleased that no one lost their life on the roadways in Troop G this Memorial Day,” said Capt. Billy E. Chadwick, commanding officer of Troop G. “Our troopers work very hard to keep the motoring public safe. Please do your part by resolving to be a safe driver.”
