Thomas Sherrill, 67, died Friday, July 23, 2010, after battling a lung ailment.
He was born Oct. 10, 1942, in Sherrill, son of James Athol and Dora Thomas Sherrill.
He enjoyed painting, repairing and rebuilding automobiles. He worked in the trucking, salvage and recycling businesses. He owned a salvage yard, TomCo Metals.
Survivors include his wife, Josie Woods Sherrill of the home; three children, Cindy Sherrill of Mission Veijo, Calif., and Bo Sherrill of Denver, Colo., and Suzanne Sherrill of Chicago, Ill.; two stepdaughters, Autumn Woods of Amarillo, Texas, and Stacie Nash of Rolla; seven grandchildren; special friends, Gary Ingram and Dean Sotter; and many cousins, distant family members and a host of life long business friends.
Visitation was Tuesday, July, 27, with Frankie Schwartze officiating. Private burial was in Shafer Cemetery under the direction of Fox Funeral Home.
