The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating an accident early Sunday that left two with injuries and officers wondering about the identity of the driver.
Tpr. Logan Elliott said an eastbound 1994 Mazda ran off the right side of the roadway and off a bridge on Gravel Point Road six miles northeast of Mountain Grove. The vehicle landed in a creek below, he said.
A passenger, Adam L. Kirkwood, 22, of Cabool, was taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital with minor injuries. Another occupant, Brittany R. Noonan, 22, of Owensville, had moderate injuries and she was flown by medical helicopter to Cox South in Springfield.
The vehicle was totaled, Elliott said. The driver is unknown.
