Houston High School sports teams will officially begin the 2010 season Monday with the first day of practices.
The football team, under the direction of first-year coach David Williams, will meet at 8 a.m. at the Big Red Building.
Another first-year coach, Amy McNew, will hold her initial practice with her volleyball team at 5 p.m. She said it will conclude at 8 p.m.
Softball coach Willy Walker, who begins his second year with the Lady Tigers, will host practice beginning at 3 p.m. at Carter Field.
This past week was a mandatory dead period from MSHSAA for high school teams.
