A new business hopes to open its doors by Sept. 1 on South Sam Houston Blvd in a building it has acquired.
Smokers Express will open near First Street and the highway in a building that once housed a coffee shop.
Darren Dake, director of operations for a company that operates several Subway locations and Smokers Express locations in Cuba and Owensville, said the business will handle a variety of smoking products and some convenience store items, such as drinks and snacks.
“Our goal is provide a descent price, clean facility and good service,” said Dake.
